You’re right, BigSis. Some Texans do frown on beans in their chili, but not this Texan! I almost decided not to add them when I entered my recipe in the Chili Cook-off, but decided to make it the way I like it, and it paid off. Mine was the only one with beans and I came in second place, so there are people that like beans in chili!

Yum! That looks good. I’ve never tried the Penzey’s Chili spice, but now I know all the ingredients and I think I have them all…including ancho powder.
