Hi Janet,
We definitely need to keep talking about skin cancer and the seriousness of Melanoma. A simple visit to the doctor for a skin check could save your life. It did for my husband. Thanks for visiting our site. I'll look forward to more posts from you on Huffington Post.

Thanks for your great gripping article, Janet. I really appreciated it, as LilSis did. It's so important to get those skin checks, especially since the damage we did to our skin was during our clueless teen years when we all thought we were bulletproof! Thanks for coming by and taking the time to leave a comment!

Thanks so much for "preaching" about sun-protection. You have probably helped many people avoid skin cancer. I appreciate that you read my post on Huffington Post about my melanoma scare. Like many people, I assumed skin cancer happens to "other people" and because I've been very careful since I turned about 30, I thought I was pretty safe. Turns out the skin cancer we get after age 40 has to do with how many severe burns we got at age 18 or so. Yikes!
