Noble Pig - I'm glad to hear that this salad is worth giving a try! It does seem odd at first, but I'm bored with my usual recipes, so why not?

BigSis - Thanks for the link to the Cooking Light salads!

Yeah, if I made that Watermelon Salad, I would definitely leave off the onions. But, you know that I'm not crazy about raw onions on anything!

Hey LilSis,

Funny that you're talking about a watermelon and feta salad. One of the contestants on The Next Food Network Star was just booted off, in part for making a horrible version of this salad that was dominated by onions. And then he blamed his failure on a Paula Deen recipe!

Cooking Light just came out with 15 new summer salads. Check them out!

And BTW, Haloumi is scrumptious! I can get it at Whole Foods. Try grilling it!

Lisa - I'm going to have to find out where to buy that haloumi cheese. It's been mentioned a lot lately. Thanks for the tip!

I've been on a salad kick too. It's been too hot to eat anything else! My favorite salad lately was a watermelon with haloumi, and feta would be great too.
