I loved the apple salad I had in Vegas in Early 2011 @ Vegas @ Mesa Grill; it was the best salad I’ve ever had and I’ve had lots of good ones

I bought the cookbook and tried to recreate tonight and failed; it was good, but not ‘damn that’s good’. Small complaint: Their version of ‘doneness’ for steaks is rare (ex/ If you order a medium there It’ll probably be cooked similarly to a rare somewhere else).

Hi Sue, I’m glad you liked the restaurant. We didn’t try the apple salad or the tater while we were there; there were too many other dishes calling our name. From what I can see online, it looks like the recipe for the salad is in Bobby’s Mesa Grill Cookbook. I also was able to find the recipe in a book preview on books.google.com. I’m not sure if this link will work for you, but here it is. If it doesn’t work, you might try going to books.google.com and searching for Mesa Grill Apple Salad Recipe Orange Vinaigrette. Good luck!

Was in Vegas last week ate dinner at Mesa Restaurant.I loved apple salad and am trying to get receipe for it.I would not recommend twice baked potato very disappointing for an Irish gal.Any help getting receipe?

We went to Mesa Grill in NYC and LOVED it. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. (Maybe we’re just not being so well served.) LOVED the blue corn muffins. Loved the pork tenderloin I had as well as some sweet potatoes. I can’t wait to go try some of those salads!

I’m so glad to hear that Mesa Grill was a good experience. I met Bobby Flay at a Food Show in Lexington earlier this month. He actually handed me an apple dessert made by him at the end of the show. He was very charismatic and very handsome in person!! I have a big time celebrity crush on him.
