What the “L”?

What the “L” is LilSis up to?

  • Longingly thinking of D and wishing he was here with us for Father's Day.
  • Leaving for Chicago tomorrow.
  • Looking forward to seeing the kids and grandkids.
  • Laboring over month-end accounting so I'm not too behind when we return.
  • Laundering all the guys' clothes for the trip.
  • Lunching with my friend, V.
  • Loving that I just got the okay from the Dr. to take the boot off my foot!

What the “L” is LilSis up to?

lily

  • Loving the beautiful lillies that BigSis sent me. (BigSis, I wanted you to see how gorgeous these ended up being when they opened.) The white ones were as big as the special Japanese Lillies that I always get from Trader Joe's. They're my absolute favorite!!

  • Lugging around the lovely boot on my right foot. But, I promise I'm not going to whine about that any more.

  • Lounging by the pool at a small resort in the desert. SirHoney and  HayHay are in a Father/Son golf tournament, so I tagged along. I couldn't pass up the chance to sit by a pool in hot, sunny, 90 plus degree weather.

  • Looking forward to reading more of my book that I just started. My friend, E, gave me “The Shack” for my birthday. I'm only five chapters in, but it's definitely peaked my interest.

  • Laughing with my friend, V, who also tagged along with her son.

  • Listening to some great new tunes on my iPod.
  • Leisurely sipping on my favorite, Heineken Light, from the cutest little ding, dang miniature keg. (BigSis, I couldn't resist. It fits perfect in the cooler!)

  • Loving that we can finally have an overnight trip, BUT still

  • Longing for our SarahGirl.

After a full blown meltdown last week, I'm taking the weekend off to try to preserve my sanity. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I plan on it!

What the “L” is BigSis up to?

  • Loving the thought of taking long after-work walks next week…thanks to Daylight Savings Time!  Bring it on!
  • Looking forward to spring.  It's been a weird winter in Texas this year.
  • Lusting over tonight's Lost reunion episode!
More of this tonight??

More of this tonight??

  • Lunching on these meatless Gourmet GardenSteaks in the Baja variety.  These are not your usual critter-free patties; they're very delicious, well-seasoned and filling.
  • Livid that I got suckered into this season's Bachelor!  Livid, I tell you!  Snarl!

And most of all:

  • Lifting up in prayer all those around me going through a rough time…my friend who just lost her dad, my friend whose long-time BF just came to light as a long-time cheater, my friend who's trying to discern if her dating relationship is of God or not, my friend whose brother is struggling with the path his life is taking, and LilSis and her family dealing with Sarah's increasing health problems.  Love all of you!

What the “L” is Lil Sis up to?

  • Loving the fact that it's Saturday and I can be away from my computer without feeling guilty.
  • Lingering over my favorite McCanns Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal.
  • Limbering up to go for a run.
  • Loving my new Asics. These are the ones I buy every time. I don't even have to try them on anymore. I put so many miles on my shoes that I have to get a new pair about once every two months.
And they're pink, too!

Pink, of course!

  • Listening to my cardio playlist on my iPod.
  • Looking forward to spending the rest of the day down at the Harbor cleaning up our boat.

What the “L” is BigSis up to?

  • Lunching on the new Barilla Piccolini; cute little baby bow ties that are a tasty fun way to stay on this darn bland diet.
  • Leafing through the new Allure October issue with their editors' Best of Beauty Products feature.
  • Lecturing coworkers about the importance of passing Proposition 2 in California.
  • Limiting my desire to hoard every last package of Mother's Coconut Cocadas cookies since the company folded after 92 years in business.  Sniff!  You may still be able to find some Cocadas and pink sprinkly Circus Animals cookies on store shelves, but don't dawdle!
  • Lazing around watching my favorite Food Network show “Barefoot Contessa“.  This lady really cooks, and her cookbooks are fabulous!
  • Loving the Green Chili and Garlic Goat cheese from La Cuesta Farm in Texas.  I bought it over the summer from the Farmer's Market, now I have to go to Central Market for it.
