The day started off running across the street in the freezing cold rain to the Tropicana to play BigSis' new favorite game!

Who knew we would run into Luciano Pavarotti at the Venetian with a birthday greeting for BigSis!
An unexpected birthday greeting from Pavarotti!
After our meeting with one of the great tenors, we had a fabulous lunch on the canal at Taqueria Canonita.

Now at 9 pm, we're back at our hotel and freshening up to go on to birthday celebration phase 2! We're off to the Wynn to have a birthday cocktail at Tryst, and then maybe whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

Happy Birthday BigSis!!! It amazes me how the cat on that slot machine looks like the graphic of BigSis on your blog. You too should get paying jobs as journalists – great pictures, great copy, and so fast! Inquiring minds want to know… was that really Pavarotti or a wax figure? Oh duh, he passed away in 2007. Thanks for the compliments, Margie! If we could only get paid for traveling around and having fun!! I have to admit that Pavarotti made us do a double-take…he was that lifelike.
We had a great and very unconventional Thanksgiving/birthday week. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving too!

Well, Anna, I think Bally’s is just about the only casino we missed this trip. I exaggerate a little, but we did visit as many as we could squeeze in since I hadn’t seen a bunch of them. I wish I’d been introduced to the Magic Lamp…we’ll check that one out next time! Have a great visit!
