Wow, that is a great list! (Thanks for the shout out. I dream of those shortbread cookies. And to think there are some in my freezer right now. Great. Control, wait….) Sigh. Okay, sorry, got side tracked there thinking of myself. Gotta go check out some of these other links starting with the Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes. I need all the help I can get!

Hey Katrina! Do give those taters a try! I GUARANTEE your crew will love them! As for the shortbread, I’m definitely making it in the next few weeks. I might even make it for our SPCA Bake Sale. Shortbread is absolutely my favorite cookie, by itself or as a layer in a bar. I just made a cherry pecan meringue bar tonight with a brown sugar shortbread crust. If they weren’t still hot, I’d already have one in my mouth! Thanks for the great recipe and the comment! Oh, and happy Thanksgiving!

I did make the mashed potatoes, but I actually didn’t taste them. Everyone else loved them. I just chose to save my carbs for sweet potato casserole, which is my very favorite thing and I didn’t want to load up on too many dinner carbs, since I made four desserts for 7 of us! (No, I did not eat a piece of each, but I tasted plenty!)
Have a great leftover day! 😉
