I've been around the house a lot for the last 4 weekends; busy with all my bake sale baking, and Christmas stuff. I like to have movies on in the background when I'm home, and these are my Christmas favorites that I've been watching over and over and over.
- It's a Wonderful Life
- Elf
- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
- A Christmas Story
- Planes, Trains and Automobiles
- The Santa Clause
I've also been watching “Dirty Dancing” and “Liar Liar”, just cause they make me happy, not because they're Christmasy.
So, did I miss any of your favorite must-watch Christmas movies?

You’ve got mine on your list. It’s a Wonderful Life and Christmas Vacation are my all time favorites! π

Funny that ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ was made so long, and it’s still #1 on so many of our favorite lists!

I confess Hubby and I still love the classics from when we were kids! In fact Friday night we sat by the fire had hot chocolate and watched: Rudolf, Frosty and Santa Claus is coming to town!

I love Rudolph and Charlie Brown too, Cathy. I need to buy those on DVD!

I find myself watching either Love Actually or The Holiday almost nightly – but I do love It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation too!
Have a Merry Christmas!

Hey, Bo! I’ve seen Love Actually once, but never the Holiday. I need to check it out!

Definitely ditto to Love Actually! And this may be the effect of 3 brothers, but Die Hard is also a great holiday flick π It laid the foundation for how I pictured office Christmas parties growing up…

Hey, SAA! I KNOW you love Love Actually; in fact, you’re the first person to ever mention it to me. It’s a good one! Die Hard is a little more unconventional, but I can understand it knowing you have 3 brothers!

Christmas in Connecticut [the Barbara Stanwyck version] is my absolute favorite Christmas movie – I highly recommend it! Also, Holiday Inn is pretty cute…I’m a sucker for old movies π

Hi Megan! I’ve never even heard of Christmas in Connecticut! I wish I had time to run out to the video store and pick it up. Maybe next year. Thanks for the suggestions!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a classic!

Yep, we watched it again on Christmas Eve. It’s still as funny as it was the first time we watched it!
