A HUGE congratulations goes out to Lee DeWyze, who beat Crystal Bowersox last night to become our Season Nine American Idol!!
I LOVE this moment!
Both BigSis and I have loved Lee right from the beginning and are thrilled to see him take the title of American Idol! I love the fact that Lee was a normal hometown guy working hard in a local paint store just months ago and now he's our newest American Idol! The fact that he was supposed to be the “underdog” made it even sweeter to hear his name announced. I'm a sap for a happy ending!
I've also loved Crystal from the beginning and was glad to see her take the runner-up spot. She's got amazing talent and I'm sure she'll have a very successful career despite the fact that she didn't win the title. The duet that Lee and Crystal sang together is one of my favorite performances of the season.
Congratulations again to Lee! He's gotta be the happiest guy on the planet today! 🙂

I agree with everything you said 100%, picked him from the beginning, liked Crystal, too, but wanted him to win! Yay for small victories. Now, about that oil spill….. jk

I hope that Lee will take this huge gift and run with it! For me, this Idol season was long and pretty boring, but I’m glad my favorite won. Crystal will have a fabulous career, regardless of where she placed in the finals!

Ditto again about this season being kinda boring. I didn’t really like any of the other 12! It’ll be interesting to see how it does next season without Simon and who they get to replace him.
I heard the results shows will be cut to half an hour now. (yay)

I never watch the show until it gets down to the final 12. This year, I was a little disappointed with the ones who made it that far, but I did like Big Mike. 🙂

Thanks for popping in… Neither of us watch very much television, but BigSis was a HUGE Lost fan and I really like American Idol because it’s one show that the whole family can actually enjoy! 🙂
