Fabulous Friday
I LOVE Fridays! Is there anyone out there that doesn't love Friday? For most of us, Friday marks the end of a hard work week and the beginning of a relaxing weekend! Right?
BigSis and I were talking the other day and we decided that since we both love our Fridays, we're going to try something new. We're going to take this day to share with you something that we find to be fabulous. And if it's something extraordinarily fabulous, we may have to call it Fantabulous Friday!
So, to kick it off today, here are a couple of things that I find to be quite fabulous!
Ever Hip Creme Sheen from MAC Give Me Liberty of London Collection
Not only is this limited-edition shade, Ever Hip, a perfectly fabulous color for me, but I find the glossy white case to be equally fabulous.
Fabulously decorated case!
The case is decorated with an exclusively created flower and bird pattern for the MAC Give Me Liberty of London Collection. I don't know what I'll do with the case when the lipstick is gone, but I won't be recycling this one.
Urban Decay Summer of Love Shadow Palette
This Urban Decay Summer of Love Shadow Palette is nothing less than fabulous! This gorgeous palette was a surprise Mother's Day gift from BigSis that I just received in the mail two days ago and I'm already madly in love with it!
Sexy, Shimmery, Silky-Soft Shadows!
I tried one of these shadows when we went out Wednesday night and I can tell you that this eyeshadow is going to give MAC some competition! This lovely palette came with a fabulous 24/7 Glide On Pencil and travel size Sin Eyeshadow Primer Potion. The mirror and the magnetic cover are also fabulous, so what more can I say?
FABULOUS!!
And lastly, today is an especially fabulous Friday for me because this is where I will be today. 🙂
We'll be in the desert for a Father Son Golf Tournament and I will be by the pool in the fabulous ‘almost 100 degree' weather catching up on some magazine reading while the guys are golfing. I couldn't ask for a better way to spend two days! 🙂

One last rant.
Sorry to hear about the untimely death of all your houseplants, BigSis!! That's a real bummer! I hate it when something like that happens that is absolutely no one's fault but your own! You had some beautiful, unique plants! I know you're just sick about it! Are you going to try to replace them or wait a while to give yourself time to mourn?
Not that this compares at all with the death of all your beloved houseplants, but I've been mad at myself for the past two days because I thought I lost my new Hello Kitty Mac cosmetic bag. 🙁 (I know, boo hoo!)
I had become very attached to that bag and it contained five of my favorite MAC lipsticks, including the two new Hello Kitty lipsticks. I called the grocery store twice to have them check their lost and found because it's the only place I could remember where I might have taken the bag out of my purse to get my wallet out. Of course, they said no one had turned it in.
Today, I was just about ready to accept the fact that it was gone and move on. Then, this morning, SirHoney found my bag somewhere in his truck and he walked in with it in his hand and just said “You owe me big time”. 🙂
He's right. I do! I'm sure he'll think of something he wants in return!
We really don't like to whine and complain too much here but I promise this will be my last rant for a while. I'm so aggravated at myself about this! Over the past several months, BigSis talked about the Borba anti-cellulite products and BigSis talked more about Borba results and I shared my results with the Borba Products; yet I let myself run out of the contour creme! DUH!
When the tube started sputtering, I should have ordered more instead of waiting until it was practically gone! I had no choice but to hack into the tube with some scissors so I can try to scrape out enough to last a couple of days.
I'm not wasting a drop of this stuff!
And yes, IMHO, this product is worth the trouble! I even paid extra S&H so I could receive it in two days. Whew! I feel better now. I'm over it!
Over the next several days, we'll get back to talking about more cheerful stuff; like Spring in Texas, Easter Bunny cakes, Easter menus, and BigSis' and SisMamas' upcoming trip to California.
Maybe I'll have time soon to talk about some new MAC and Urban Decay products that I couldn't resist buying!

Bigsislilsis topics for 2009
Once again, I think we're on the same page, BigSis! Those are all favorite topics of mine.
- MAC is definitely one of my favorite topics to discuss. I can't get enough MAC! I'm not sure if anyone enjoys reading about our little obsession as much as we like talking about it, but I hope so, because we will keep talking about MAC Cosmetics in 2009!
Maybe in 2009, we can share some great ideas on color combinations and more instructional videos. I loved the videos that you shared from MissChevious. And I definitely think most women our age are looking for good skin care and beauty products that actually work! We need to continue on our quest to discover the best anti-cellulite product!
- For 2009, I can't decide if I'm going to leave all the baking to you, or if I'm going to challenge myself to improve on my baking skills. I do get inspired when I read some of our favorite food blogs like Cookie Madness, Culinary Concoctions by Peabody, The Recipe Girl, Baking Blonde, Bakerella, and Martha but baking doesn't come natural to me. I need to decide if I'm up for the challenge! (Oh, by the way, is a bee in the bonnet kind of like ants in your pants?) tee hee
- But seriously, I am on a mission to find lots and lots of healthy, low fat, tasty recipes to start off this New Year. I'm much better at substituting and revising recipes in cooking versus baking! I also need to make sure that I'm not trying to take the photos with HayHay standing over me with a plate and fork in hand! It doesn't make for good photography when you're in a rush!
- I definitely want to talk about fitness and getting healthy for 2009! I want to eat as healthy as possible, kick up the exercise a notch or two and take my vitamins and supplements every day. I really want to continue to look for new ways to work on improving brain health. Anything we can do as “forty somethings” to keep our ‘mind' alert and the ‘ole bod' from going south is a good thing.
Oh, and we can't forget that we'll be talking about BlogWorld 2009 since we WILL be attending this year!
I'm really happy with what we've accomplished with our blog during the short time we were “live” in 2008 and I'm very excited about 2009. I know we would both love to hear comments from any of our readers about their favorite topics.
